Heather Kustaborder

Occupational Therapist

Heather, OTD, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist with a passion for helping kids grow through play, creativity, and connection. She supports children in developing skills for self-care, feeding, school, and everyday life—always with a focus on what makes each child unique.

Heather earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Slippery Rock University. Her doctoral capstone research focused on the use sensory strategies at home and the benefits of nature-based interventions, which continue to shape how she approaches her work today.

In therapy, Heather loves to get silly, follow a child’s lead, and incorporate each child’s favorite interests into her therapeutic activities. Whether she is pretending to have a “carrot mustache” during feeding therapy or creating a craft that lets a child’s imagination shine, her goal is to make learning fun and meaningful - while building important skills along the way!

Outside the clinic, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors, hanging out with family and friends, and exploring new coffee shops. At home, she’s kept on her toes by her two curious kittens, Bonzo and Goose.
